My background is in buildings archaeology, in which I have a MA from the University of York. From time to time I undertake recording projects, usually of things such as tombs that are on the verge of falling apart (or have fallen apart), to provide a record for the archive and/or a detailed working drawing for future stonemasons or conservators. If you have a project that you need help with and think I could bring these skills to, drop me a line via my 'Contact' page.

Images on this page are from a 19th-century tomb in the south nave aisle at Exeter Cathedral, recorded in December 2019. Working from the remains of the tomb, various archaeological fragments and archive sources, I managed to recreate its original design to scale.
